These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of banglachain.org (the "Website"), operated by BanglaChain Foundation. By using the Website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance & about this website
1.1 Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using banglachain.org (the "Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1.2 About BanglaChain & this Website
The Website is published by BanglaChain Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to share information about BanglaChain — a sovereign Layer 1 blockchain network currently under research and development — and about the Foundation's research, policy advocacy and education programs. The roadmap, principles and technical descriptions on the Website describe the general direction of the project as confirmed by the Foundation to date; they are not a guarantee of specific features, timelines, or outcomes, which may change as research and development continues.
1.3 No financial services, no offer of tokens
The Website is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Website constitutes, and should not be interpreted as, an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any token, cryptocurrency, security, or other financial instrument, in any jurisdiction. The Website does not currently support account registration, sign-in, wallet connections, token transactions, or any payment or financial transaction of any kind, and no such functionality should be assumed to exist unless and until the Foundation publishes it with its own applicable terms.
1.4 Eligibility
You may use the Website only if you are legally able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, and only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable local, national and international laws and regulations.
2. Acceptable use & prohibited activities
The Website is here to inform you about BanglaChain and the Foundation. In exchange for free access to that information, we ask that you use it responsibly.
2.1 Acceptable use
You may view, browse and share links to the Website for personal, non-commercial, informational purposes, in a manner that complies with these Terms and all applicable law.
2.2 Prohibited activities
You agree not to:
- Use the Website for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Website or any system or network connected to it, or otherwise interfere with or disrupt its security, integrity, or normal operation;
- Introduce any virus, malware, or other harmful or disruptive code to the Website;
- Use any automated system (bot, scraper, crawler, or similar) to access the Website in a manner that sends more request traffic than a human could reasonably produce, or that circumvents any rate-limiting or access control;
- Impersonate BanglaChain Foundation, any of its representatives, or any other person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with the Foundation;
- Use the contact details published on the Website (including info@banglachain.org or the published phone number) to send unsolicited bulk communications, phishing attempts, or fraudulent messages purporting to be from the Foundation;
- Copy, reproduce, republish, or create derivative works from the Website's content, design, or branding for commercial purposes, except as expressly permitted in Section 3; or
- Use the Website in any way that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair it, or interfere with any other party's use of the Website.
3. Intellectual property
3.1 Ownership
The Website and its entire contents, features and functionality — including all text, graphics, the "BanglaChain" name and wordmark, logos, visual design and underlying code of the Website itself — are owned by, or licensed to, BanglaChain Foundation, and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.
3.2 Limited license to you
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Foundation grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Website for your own personal, non-commercial, informational use. This license does not include any right to resell or make commercial use of the Website or its content, to reproduce Foundation branding on other material, or to use data-mining, robots, or similar data-gathering tools beyond what is described in Section 2.
3.3 BanglaChain, the network
This Website's Terms govern the Website only. BanglaChain's underlying network protocol and any related software are separate from the Website's content and, if and when released, may be published under their own open-source or other license terms, announced separately by the Foundation (for example through the developer resources and repository referenced on the Developers page). Nothing in these Terms should be read as a present grant of rights to any BanglaChain protocol code or specification.
3.4 Trademarks
"BanglaChain," the BanglaChain logo and wordmark, and other Foundation names, logos and marks that may appear on the Website are trademarks of BanglaChain Foundation. Nothing on the Website should be construed as granting any license or right to use any such mark without the Foundation's prior written permission.
4. Third-party links, services & translation
The Website relies on, and links to, a small number of third-party services and platforms described in Section 4 of our Privacy Policy.
4.1 Third-party links & platforms
The Website links to third-party platforms, including X, LinkedIn, Discord and Facebook, and to BanglaChain Foundation's separate corporate profile site at banglachainfoundation.com. These links are provided for your convenience. The Foundation does not control, and is not responsible for, the content, accuracy, or practices of any linked third-party site or platform, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not these Terms. If you participate in the Foundation's Discord server or public Facebook community group, your conduct there is also subject to that platform's own community guidelines and terms.
4.2 Third-party functionality
The Website uses Google Fonts, Google's Website Translator, and the tsParticles library (served via the jsDelivr CDN) to render its typography, optional machine translation, and decorative animation, as described in our Privacy Policy. Availability of the Website's appearance and language-translation feature can depend on the continued availability of these third-party services, which are outside the Foundation's control.
4.3 Machine translation disclaimer
If you use the language switcher to view the Website in a language other than English, the page is translated automatically by a third-party machine translation service. Automated translations are provided "as is," are not reviewed by the Foundation for accuracy, and may contain errors, omissions, or mistranslations. The original English-language version of the Website is the authoritative version, and in the event of any conflict or discrepancy between a translated version and the English version, the English version controls.

Content on the Website — including descriptions of blockchain concepts, the Foundation's roadmap, research focus, and principles — is general informational content about an early-stage project. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, or other professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such. You should seek independent professional advice before making any decision based on information found on the Website.
5.2 Forward-looking information
Statements about BanglaChain's future development — including the roadmap stages, timelines such as "coming soon," and descriptions of planned features — are aspirational and reflect the Foundation's plans as of the date published. As the Website itself notes, these describe the general path of the project and are not a confirmed schedule; actual development may proceed differently, and the Foundation undertakes no obligation to update forward-looking statements except as it chooses.
5.3 "As is" & availability
The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any information on it is accurate, complete, or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BanglaChain Foundation, its officers, employees, contributors and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Website, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BanglaChain Foundation and its officers, employees, contributors and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or damage, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Website.
7. Termination, changes & governing law
7.1 Termination & restriction of access
Because the Website does not offer accounts, "termination" here means restricting or blocking access rather than closing an account. The Foundation may restrict or block your access to the Website, at its discretion and without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or for any other reason consistent with these Terms.
7.2 Changes to the Website & these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Website after a revised version is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
7.3 Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by, and will be construed in accordance with, the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply in your jurisdiction and cannot be excluded, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
7.4 Severability, waiver & entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BanglaChain Foundation regarding your use of the Website.
